Indian benchmarks continued to trade in green during the late noon trade as investors await more set of earnings.

Bajaj Consumer Care shares gained 3 percent intraday after company's June quarter earnings report.Consolidated net profit grew by 8.9 percent to Rs 56.7 crore in quarter ended June 2019, against Rs 52.1 crore in same period last year.



Sentiments also remained upbeat after rating agency Fitch said that the Budget proposal of relaxing foreign investment limit in insurance intermediaries will strengthen distribution capabilities and increase international involvement, particularly from developed markets.



At 14:30 hours, the 30-share benchmark index was trading at 38875.1 up by 138.87 points or by 0.36 per cent, NSE Nifty was at 11583.6 up by 31.1 points or by 0.27 per cent.



Sensex touched intraday high of 39023.97 and intraday low of 38696.6 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 11618.4 and intraday low of 11532.3.



The top gainers of the BSE Sensex pack were Infosys Ltd. (Rs. 775.95,+6.72%), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. (Rs. 425.30,+4.32%), Bajaj Finance Ltd. (Rs. 3433.90,+1.66%), Maruti Suzuki India Ltd. (Rs. 6060.75,+1.49%), Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd. (Rs. 1505.60,+1.44%), among others.



The top losers of the BSE Sensex pack were Larsen & Toubro Ltd. (Rs. 1439.90,-1.87%), IndusInd Bank Ltd. (Rs. 1482.15,-1.87%), Bharti Airtel Ltd. (Rs. 350.70,-1.47%), Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd. (Rs. 203.35,-1.31%), ITC Ltd. (Rs. 271.65,-1.20%), among others.



Among the sectors, IT index was at 15537.52 up by 435.34 points or by 2.88%. Infosys Ltd. (Rs. 775.95,+6.72%), Aurionpro Solutions Ltd. (Rs. 105.05,+2.94%), Expleo Solutions Ltd. (Rs. 392.75,+1.84%), HOV Services Ltd. (Rs. 75.00,+1.83%), Cyient Ltd. (Rs. 547.30,+1.67%),.



On the flip side, CGS index was at 18373.94 down by -279.37 points or by -1.5%. Carborundum Universal Ltd. (Rs. 340.00,-3.60%), NBCC (India) Ltd. (Rs. 54.00,-3.31%), Bharat Electronics Ltd. (Rs. 102.65,-3.16%), V-Guard Industries Ltd. (Rs. 239.10,-3.14%), Lakshmi Machine Works Ltd. (Rs. 4535.00,-2.78%),.



The Market breadth, indicating the overall strength of the market, was weak. On BSE out of total shares traded 2679 , shares advanced were 919 while 1581 shares declined and 179 were unchanged.
