( As on 15/02/2019 13:40) Nifty below 10650, Dr Reddy’s turns volatile falls 30 %

Domestic benchmark indices are trading nearly 1 per cent lower in the afternoon session led by a decline in Infosys, HDFC, HDFC Bank and Sun Pharma. Asian stocks fell on Friday, retreating from four-month highs after data out of China raised concerns over deflationary pressures building in the world’s second-biggest economy. The shares of Dr Reddy’s Laboratories turned volatile falling 30 per cent to Rs 1,873 apiece, also its 52-week low, after media reported Jefferies, in its research note, said that the Form 483 issued by US Food and Drug Administration (US FDA) to drug firm’s Bachupally plant contains four repeat observations out of the total 11 observations.



At 13:23 hours, the SENSEX was trading at 35570.35 down by -305.87 points or by -0.85 per cent and then NSE Nifty was at 10649.15 down by -96.9 points or by -0.9 per cent. The BSE Sensex touched intraday high of 36022.57 and intraday low of 35510.97 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 10785.75 and intraday low of 10620.4.

The top gainers of the BSE Sensex were Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd. (Rs. 181.50,+3.80%), NTPC Ltd. (Rs. 135.35,+3.48%), Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Ltd. (Rs. 134.95,+2.16%), Larsen & Toubro Ltd. (Rs. 1237.95,+0.88%), Coal India Ltd. (Rs. 218.90,+0.88%), among others.



The top losers of the BSE Sensex were Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. (Rs. 421.75,-4.29%), Bajaj Finance Ltd. (Rs. 2515.00,-3.53%), Tata Steel Ltd. (Rs. 465.50,-3.52%), Vedanta Ltd. (Rs. 146.55,-3.46%), Hero MotoCorp Ltd. (Rs. 2702.00,-2.77%), among others.



Among sectors, Oil&Gas index was at 12982.29 up by 94.33 points or by 0.73%. Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd. (Rs. 325.90,+3.43%), GAIL (India) Ltd. (Rs. 314.40,+2.19%), Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Ltd. (Rs. 134.95,+2.16%), Oil India Ltd. (Rs. 171.85,+0.41%),. On the other hand, HCS index was at 13308.11 down by -436.36 points or by -3.17%. Dr. Reddy's Laboratories Ltd. (Rs. 2453.00,-8.10%), Glenmark Pharmaceuticals Ltd. (Rs. 565.95,-6.95%), Opto Circuits India Ltd. (Rs. 8.05,-5.07%), Lupin Ltd. (Rs. 771.05,-4.91%), Biocon Ltd. (Rs. 614.45,-4.54%),.



The Market breadth, indicating the overall strength of the market, was weak. On BSE out of total shares traded 2563, shares advanced were 779 while 1647 shares declined and 137 were unchanged.
