The company reported standalone net profit of Rs 359.02 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2020 as compared to Rs 440.20 crore in the same period last year, registering a year-on-year decline of 18.44 per cent.

Net revenue of the company rose marginally by 2.19 per cent at Rs 8,567.15 crore in January-March quarter of this fiscal as against Rs 8,383.20 crore in the corresponding period last year.

During January-March quarter, operating expenses increased by 1.47 per cent to Rs 7,869.63 crore from Rs 7,755.96 crore in year ago period.

Other Income dipped by 42.88 per cent at Rs 86.48 crore versus (Mar'19 Rs 151.39 crore).

Operating Profit surged by 11.20 per cent to Rs 697.52 crore as against Rs 627.24 crore in the year ago period, while Operating Profit Margin (OPM) expanded year-on-year to 8.82 per cent in March quarter.

Interest grew by 359.72 per cent y-o-y to Rs 103.53 crore, while Taxation decreased by 40.63 per cent at Rs 127.23 crore (Mar'19 Rs 214.31 crore).
