- Benchmark Index traded with negative bias in the previous week before closing with 1.54% cut at 25179 level. Banking Index performed better than the benchmark index as it closed with 1.05% cut at 60529 level.
- Among the Nifty constituents, APOLLOHOSP and NTPC outperformed the benchmark index as they closed with 2.71% and 2.40% gains while ETERNAL and TECHM underperformed as they closed with 8.59% and 6.80% cut respectively. Among the Bank Nifty constituents UNIONBANK outperformed the benchmark index as it closed with 4.27% gain while IDFCFIRSTB underperformed the benchmark index as it closed with 12.01% cut.
- Among sectors, NIFTYPHARMA index outperformed the benchmark index during the previous week as it closed with 2.23% gain while NIFTYREALTY index underperformed as it closed with 4.89% cut. Broader market performed better than the benchmark index as both MIDCAP index and SMALLCAP index closed with 0.67% and 0.43% cut respectively.
- Volatility index (India VIX) closed with 4.53% cut at 13.7 level.
