Equity
- Benchmark Index traded with positive bias in the previous week before closing with 1.64% gain at 25910 level. Banking Index slightly lagged the benchmark index as it closed with 1.11% gain at 58518 level.
- Among the Nifty constituents, ASIANPAINT and ADANIENT outperformed the benchmark index as they closed with 11.19% and 6.22% gains while TRENT and BAJFINANCE underperformed as they closed with 5.10% and 4.51% cut respectively. Among the Bank Nifty constituents INDUSINDBK outperformed the benchmark index as it closed with 6.40% gain while AUBANK underperformed as it closed with 1.99% cut.
- Among sectors, NIFTYDEFENCE index outperformed the benchmark index during the previous week as it is closed with 4.14% gain while NIFTYMEDIA index underperformed as it closed with 0.67% cut. MIDCAP index performed in line the benchmark index as it closed with 1.50% gain while SMALLCAP index underperformed the benchmark index as it is closed with 0.98% gain.
- Volatility index (India VIX) closed with 4.02% cut at 11.94 level.
- FII were net sellers as they sold stocks worth Rs 12,020Cr while DII were net buyers as they bought stocks worth Rs 24,677Cr during the previous week in the cash segment
- Globally, equity markets traded with positive bias as both US market (DJIA) and European markets (STOXX 600) closed with 0.34% and 1.77% gains respectively.
