Markets navigated volatility with resilience, closing the week on a positive note as banks and midcaps took the lead. With VIX cooling sharply and DII flows staying strong, momentum signals are shifting — but not without pockets of weakness.

Equity
- Benchmark Index traded volatile in the previous week before closing with 0.52% gain at 26203 level. Banking Index outperformed the benchmark index as it closed with 1.50% gain at 59753 level.
- Among the Nifty constituents, HINDALCO and TECHM outperformed the benchmark index as they closed with 3.95% and 3.82% gains while ADANIENT and BHARTIARTL underperformed as they closed with 5.87% and 2.83% cut respectively. Among the Bank Nifty constituents FEDERALBNK outperformed the benchmark index as it closed with 5.25% gain while AXISBANK underperformed as it closed with 0.31% gain.
- Among sectors, NIFTYPHARMA index outperformed the benchmark index during the previous week as it is closed with 1.85% gain while NIFTYDEFENCE index underperformed as it closed with 1.31% cut. MIDCAP index outperformed the benchmark index as it closed with 1.27% gain while SMALLCAP index underperformed the benchmark index as it is closed with 0.10% cut.
- Volatility index (India VIX) closed with 13.64% cut at 11.59 level.
- FII were net sellers as they sold stocks worth Rs 3,659Cr while DII were net buyers as they bought stocks worth Rs 22,763Cr during the previous week in the cash segment.
- Globally, equity markets traded with positive bias as both US market (DJIA) and European markets (STOXX 600) closed with 3.18% and 2.55% gains respectively.

- Derivatives data for Nifty suggest max OI addition at 26400 call and 26200 put with max OI at 26500 call and 26000 put side (02nd Dec expiry). Nifty cumulative PCR closed at 1.14 for Nov 28.
- Derivatives data for Bank-nifty suggest max OI addition at 60000 call and 59000 put with max OI at 58500 for both call and put side (30th Dec expiry). Bank-nifty cumulative PCR closed at 1.21 for Nov 28.
