Stock Market Technical Analysis | 1st to 7th Sep 2025 Weekly Wrap

Equity
- Benchmark Index traded volatile in the previous week before closing with 1.29% gain at 24741 level. Banking Index lagged the benchmark index as it closed with 0.86% gain at 54115 level.
- Among the Nifty constituents, M&M and TATASTEEL outperformed the benchmark index as they closed with 11.31% and 8.54% gains while HCLTECH and WIPRO underperformed as they closed with 2.46% and 2.30% cut respectively. Among the Bank Nifty constituents IDFCFIRSTB performed better than the benchmark index as it closed with 6.78% cut while AUBANK underperformed as it closed with 3.31% cut.
- Among sectors, NIFTYMETAL index outperformed the benchmark index during the previous week as it is closed with 5.75% gain while NIFTYIT index underperformed as it closed with 1.55% cut. Broader market outperformed the benchmark index as both MIDCAP index and SMALLCAP index closed with 2.42% and 2.49% gain respectively.
- Volatility index (India VIX) closed with 7.74% cut at 10.73 level.
- FII were net sellers as they sold stocks worth Rs 5,667 Cr while DII were net buyers as they bought stocks worth Rs 13,444 Cr during the previous week in the cash segment.
- Globally, equity markets traded with negative bias as both US market (DJIA) and European markets (STOXX 600) closed with 0.32% and 0.17% cut respectively.
