Stock Market Technical Analysis | 27th Oct to 2nd Nov 2025 Weekly Wrap

Markets witnessed a tug-of-war between bulls and bears last week as volatility gripped benchmark indices. While Nifty slipped marginally, banking and midcap segments showed resilience—setting the tone for an interesting start to the new month.

Equity
- Benchmark Index traded volatile in the previous week before closing with 0.28% cut at 25722 level. Banking Index outperformed the benchmark index as it closed with 0.13% gain at 57736 level.
- Among the Nifty constituents, SBILIFE and JSWSTEEL outperformed the benchmark index as they closed with 6.30% and 5.96% gains while DRREDDY and CIPLA underperformed as they closed with 6.70% and 5.24% cut respectively. Among the Bank Nifty constituents CANBK outperformed the benchmark index as it closed with 8.98% gain while KOTAKBANK underperformed as it closed with 3.88% cut.
- Among sectors, NIFTYPSUBANK index outperformed the benchmark index during the previous week as it is closed with 4.69% gain while NIFTYAUTO index underperformed as it closed with 1.10% cut. Broader market outperformed the benchmark index as both MIDCAP index and SMALLCAP index closed with 1.00% and 0.70% gains respectively.
- Volatility index (India VIX) closed with 4.74% gain at 12.15 level.
- FII were net sellers as they sold stocks worth Rs 2103Cr while DII were net buyers as they bought stocks worth Rs 18,804Cr during the previous week in the cash segment
- Globally, equity markets traded mixed as US market (DJIA) closed with 0.75% gain while European markets (STOXX 600) closed with 0.67% cut.

- Derivatives data for Nifty suggest max OI addition at 25800 call and 25000 put with max OI at 27000 call and 25000 put side (04th Nov expiry). Nifty cumulative PCR closed at 0.64 for Oct 31.
- Derivatives data for Bank-nifty suggest max OI addition at 60500 call and 56000 put with max OI at 57000 call and 58000 put side (25th Nov expiry). Bank-nifty cumulative PCR closed at 0.91 for Oct 31.
