Stock Market Technical Analysis | 15th to 21st Sep 2025 Weekly Wrap

Indian equity markets ended higher with Nifty and Bank Nifty extending gains, driven by PSU banks and select large-caps, even as FIIs stayed net sellers. Here’s your weekly wrap of key movers, sectors, and derivatives outlook.

Equity
- Benchmark Index traded with positive bias in the previous week before closing with 0.85% gain at 25327 level. Banking Index outperformed the benchmark index as it closed with 1.19% gain at 55459 level.
- Among the Nifty constituents, ADANIENT and ETERNAL outperformed the benchmark index as they closed with 5.52% and 4.71% gains while TITAN and ASIANPAINT underperformed as they closed with 2.93% and 2.54% cut respectively. Among the Bank Nifty constituents BANKBARODA outperformed the benchmark index as it closed with 6.15% gain while ICICIBANK underperformed as it closed with 1.09% cut.
- Among sectors, NIFTYPSUBANK index outperformed the benchmark index during the previous week as it is closed with 4.83% gain while NIFTYFMCG index underperformed as it closed with 0.50% cut. Broader market outperformed the benchmark index as both MIDCAP index and SMALLCAP index closed with 1.49% and 2.86% gains respectively.
- Volatility index (India VIX) closed with 1.88% cut at 9.93 level.
- FII were net sellers as they sold stocks worth Rs 1,327 Cr while DII were net buyers as they bought stocks worth Rs 11,177 Cr during the previous week in the cash segment.
- Globally, equity markets traded mixed as US market (DJIA) closed with 1.05% gain while European markets (STOXX 600) closed with 0.13% cut.

- Derivatives data for Nifty suggest max OI addition at 25400 call and 25300 put with max OI at 26000 call and 25300 put side (23th Sep expiry). Nifty cumulative PCR closed at 0.94 for Sep 19.
