Equity
- Benchmark Index traded with negative bias in the previous week before closing with 0.89% cut at 25492 level. Banking Index outperformed the benchmark index as it closed with 0.17% gain at 57877 level.
- Among the Nifty constituents, SHRIRAMFIN and M&M outperformed the benchmark index as they closed with 9.01% and 5.82% gains while HINDALCO and GRASIM underperformed as they closed with 6.78% and 5.78% cut respectively. Among the Bank Nifty constituents BANKBARODA outperformed the benchmark index as it closed with 3.83% gain while AXISBANK underperformed as it closed with 0.81% cut.
- Among sectors, NIFTYPSUBANK index outperformed the benchmark index during the previous week as it is closed with 2.05% gain while NIFTYMEDIA index underperformed as it closed with 3.17% cut. MIDCAP index outperformed the benchmark index as it closed with 0.03% gain while SMALLCAP index underperformed the benchmark index as it is closed with 1.66% cut.
- Volatility index (India VIX) closed with 2.39% gain at 12.44 level.
- FII were net sellers as they sold stocks worth Rs 1,633Cr while DII were net buyers as they bought stocks worth Rs 16,678Cr during the previous week in the cash segment Globally, equity markets traded with negative bias as both US market (DJIA) and European markets (STOXX 600) closed with 1.21% cut and 1.24% cut respectively.
