On the corporate front, shares of State Bank of India rose more than 2 percent in the early trade on November 15 after the board had approved divestment of company's stake in SBI Cards.
Also, shares of Glenmark Pharma jumped over 4 percent intraday on November 15 after the company had reported a consolidated net profit to Rs 255.54 crore for the second quarter ended in September. The company posted a net profit of Rs 414 crore in the July-September quarter a year ago, Glenmark Pharmaceuticals said in a BSE filing.
While, Telecom major Bharti Airtel share prices were up over a percent in the morning trade on November 15. The company posted a massive loss of Rs 23,044.9 crore in Q2FY20, dented by exceptional loss for license fee and spectrum usage charge (SUC) especially after unfavourable verdict from Supreme Court on adjusted gross revenue (AGR) dues.
At 10:15 hours, the 30-share benchmark index was trading at 40502.02 up by 215.54 points or by 0.54 per cent NSE Nifty was at 11930.95 up by 58.85 points or by 0.50 per cent.
In the positive trade so-far, Sensex touched intraday high of 40540.02 and intraday low of 40396.91 and NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 11943.3 and intraday low of 11899.15.
