Domestic equity benchmarks continued their robust trade during the late noon trading session led by buying across auto, energy, infra and FMCG stocks, tracking positive cues from Asian peers.

Whereas, European stocks look set to open higher on Tuesday as investors remain hopeful that Britain still has a chance to avoid a messy exit from the European Union at key negotiations this week. The upside, however, may remain capped by a perceived lack of progress coming out of U.S.-China trade negotiations.

Among key stocks, shares of Bandhan Bank rallied nearly 9 percent intraday on October 15 ahead of addition in the MSCI index tomorrow. Gruh Finance also gained 6 percent intraday. Bandhan Bank will be included in the MSCI Global Standard Index, under largecap segment, with effect from October 16, 2019.

Moreover, shares of Yes Bank rallied 3.5 percent intraday on October 15 after the lender sold stake in Fortis Healthcare.

At 12:18 hours, the 30-share benchmark index was trading at 38529.93 up by 315.46 points or by 0.83 per cent then NSE Nifty was at 11411.25 up by 70.1 points or by 0.62 per cent.

Sensex touched intraday high of 38537.92 and intraday low of 38238.27 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 11419.35 and intraday low of 11342.1.

The top gainers of the BSE Sensex pack were Hero MotoCorp Ltd. (Rs. 2680.90,+2.75%), Maruti Suzuki India Ltd. (Rs. 6989.20,+2.49%), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (Rs. 582.00,+2.37%), Hindustan Unilever Ltd. (Rs. 2059.70,+2.23%), Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Ltd. (Rs. 137.90,+2.00%), among others.

The top losers of the BSE Sensex pack were Bharti Airtel Ltd. (Rs. 384.35,-2.33%), Tata Motors Ltd. (Rs. 125.25,-2.00%), Infosys Ltd. (Rs. 771.40,-1.81%), Tata Motors Ltd. (Rs. 55.50,-1.60%), Tata Steel Ltd. (Rs. 340.75,-1.19%), among others.

Among the sectors, Auto index was at 17180.54 up by 334.64 points or by 1.99%. Eicher Motors Ltd. (Rs. 19100.00,+4.31%), Bosch Ltd. (Rs. 13811.70,+3.35%), Hero MotoCorp Ltd. (Rs. 2685.00,+2.90%), Maruti Suzuki India Ltd. (Rs. 6996.90,+2.60%), TVS Motor Company Ltd. (Rs. 407.80,+2.48%),.

The Market breadth, indicating the overall strength of the market, was weak. On BSE out of total shares traded 2408 , shares advanced were 1076 while 1170 shares declined and 162 were unchanged.
