( As on 13/09/2019 16:50) Post Session:Sensex gains 281 pts higher, Nifty above 11,075

Benchmark indices rebounded and recouped all previous day's losses amid hope of more reforms from government. Subdued inflation kept hopes alive for rate cut and positive vibes to support the auto sector lifted the markets. Broad based recovery in rate sensitive stocks fueled domestic market.



Investor sentiment also got a major boost as signs of progress in US-China trade talks and aggressive stimulus from the European Central Bank helped to calm fears of a global economic slowdown.



The 30-share benchmark index ended at 37384.99 up by 280.71 points or by 0.76 % and then NSE Nifty was at 11075.9 up by 93.1 points or by 0.85 %.



During the day's trade, Sensex touched intraday high of 37413.5 and intraday low of 37000.09 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 11084.45 and intraday low of 10945.75



The top gainers of the BSE Sensex pack were Vedanta Ltd. (Rs. 149.20,+2.72%), ICICI Bank Ltd. (Rs. 413.25,+2.61%), Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Ltd. (Rs. 128.80,+2.34%), Tata Motors Ltd. (Rs. 59.65,+1.79%), Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd. (Rs. 1483.55,+1.79%), among others.

The top losers of the BSE Sensex pack were Bharti Airtel Ltd. (Rs. 342.75,-1.35%), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. (Rs. 423.25,-1.04%), HDFC Bank Ltd. (Rs. 2256.25,-0.62%), ITC Ltd. (Rs. 239.95,-0.35%), Hindustan Unilever Ltd. (Rs. 1804.80,-0.10%), among others.



Among sectors, Oil&Gas index was at 13639.34 up by 363.08 points or by 2.73%. Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd. (Rs. 408.90,+6.42%), Indian Oil Corporation Ltd. (Rs. 130.05,+4.50%), Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd. (Rs. 271.00,+3.22%), GAIL (India) Ltd. (Rs. 129.10,+2.62%), Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Ltd. (Rs. 128.80,+2.34%),.



On the flip side, HCS index was at 13022.7 down by -49.51 points or by -0.38%. Vivimed Labs Ltd. (Rs. 17.50,-4.89%), Glenmark Pharmaceuticals Ltd. (Rs. 368.35,-3.67%), Piramal Enterprises Ltd. (Rs. 1902.65,-3.19%), Wockhardt Ltd. (Rs. 314.65,-3.08%), Morepen Laboratories Ltd. (Rs. 17.60,-1.95%),.



The Market breadth, indicating the overall strength of the market, was weak. On BSE out of total shares traded 2856 , shares advanced were 1637 while 1035 shares declined and 184 were unchanged.
