The frontline indices opened on a positive note and are trading more than half of a per cent higher after Lok Sabha Election 2019 results gave clear mandate to the BJP led NDA government. Among sectors, bank, infra, auto, energy, and pharma are trading in green. The Indian rupee opened at 69.75 per dollar higher by 26 paise against previous close at 70.01. The shares of Gruh Finance dropped 6 per cent after 2 per cent equity changed hands in block deal.

At 09:27 hours, the SENSEX was trading at 39048.6 up by 237.21 points or by 0.61 per cent and then NSE Nifty was at 11745.15 up by 88.1 points or by 0.76 per cent.

The top gainers of the BSE Sensex were Larsen & Toubro Ltd. (Rs. 1500.05,+1.65%), Bharti Airtel Ltd. (Rs. 342.80,+1.30%), Bajaj Finance Ltd. (Rs. 3421.15,+1.28%), ICICI Bank Ltd. (Rs. 415.65,+1.23%), Axis Bank Ltd. (Rs. 786.45,+1.21%), among others. On the other hand, the top losers of the BSE Sensex were Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Ltd. (Rs. 171.20,-1.64%), Bajaj Auto Ltd. (Rs. 3020.05,-1.55%), Vedanta Ltd. (Rs. 156.00,-0.79%), HCL Technologies Ltd. (Rs. 1060.00,-0.62%), Hindustan Unilever Ltd. (Rs. 1742.00,-0.51%), among others.

Among sectors, Realty index was at 2108.92 up by 29.65 points or by 1.43%. Indiabulls Real Estate Ltd. (Rs. 120.85,+3.38%), DLF Ltd. (Rs. 184.80,+2.33%), Oberoi Realty Ltd. (Rs. 545.20,+1.48%), Sobha Ltd. (Rs. 513.00,+1.47%), Sunteck Realty Ltd. (Rs. 497.25,+1.26%),. On the flip side, CDS index was at 24083.97 down by -70.4 points or by -0.29%. Titan Company Ltd. (Rs. 1210.90,-0.68%), Voltas Ltd. (Rs. 573.15,-0.62%),.

The Market breadth, indicating the overall strength of the market, was weak. On BSE out of total shares traded 1109 , shares advanced were 793 while 282 shares declined and 34 were unchanged.
