( As on 25/04/2019 11:36) Nifty above 11,770; Indiabulls Housing Finance gains 4%

The frontline indices are trading higher in late morning session. The shares of Indiabulls Housing Finance gained 4 per cent after the company disclosed March quarter earnings. The company has reported 7 per cent year-on-year degrowth in consolidated profit at Rs 1,001.4 crore, but net interest income grew by 5.8 per cent to Rs 1,591 crore in quarter ended March 2019.



At 11:27 hours, the SENSEX was trading at 39254.34 up by 199.66 points or by 0.51 per cent and then NSE Nifty was at 11775.6 up by 49.45 points or by 0.42 per cent. The BSE Sensex touched intraday high of 39258.36 and intraday low of 39009.72 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 11780.1 and intraday low of 11715.95.



The top gainers of the BSE Sensex were YES Bank Ltd. (Rs. 248.95,+4.10%), Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd. (Rs. 194.80,+1.48%), Reliance Industries Ltd. (Rs. 1409.00,+1.37%), Bharti Airtel Ltd. (Rs. 328.40,+1.20%), Larsen & Toubro Ltd. (Rs. 1373.55,+0.97%), among others. On the other hand, the top losers of the BSE Sensex were Vedanta Ltd. (Rs. 173.40,-0.83%), Maruti Suzuki India Ltd. (Rs. 6973.65,-0.72%), Bajaj Auto Ltd. (Rs. 3057.35,-0.61%), Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Ltd. (Rs. 167.85,-0.50%), Coal India Ltd. (Rs. 253.00,-0.47%), among others.



Among sectors, Power index was at 2025.22 up by 17.56 points or by 0.87%. Reliance Infrastructure Ltd. (Rs. 127.10,+5.08%), CG Power and Industrial Solutions Ltd. (Rs. 38.85,+3.19%), Adani Transmission Ltd. (Rs. 225.50,+2.62%), KEC International Ltd. (Rs. 300.55,+2.33%), Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd. (Rs. 194.80,+1.48%),. On the flip side, Auto index was at 19473.83 down by -52.45 points or by -0.27%. Eicher Motors Ltd. (Rs. 20372.00,-0.85%), Maruti Suzuki India Ltd. (Rs. 6973.65,-0.72%), Bajaj Auto Ltd. (Rs. 3057.35,-0.61%), Cummins India Ltd. (Rs. 734.00,-0.46%), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (Rs. 665.00,-0.45%),.



The Market breadth, indicating the overall strength of the market, was weak. On BSE out of total shares traded 2244 , shares advanced were 1201 while 891 shares declined and 152 were unchanged.
