( As on 29/01/2019 14:30) Kansai Nerolac Paint Q3 net profit down 9.95% at Rs 112.70 cr

The company reported standalone net profit of Rs 112.70 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2018 as compared to Rs 125.15 crore in the same period last year, registering a year-on-year decline of 9.95 per cent.

Net revenue of the company rose moderately by 17.94 per cent at Rs 1,343.64 crore in October-December quarter of this fiscal as against Rs 1,139.27 crore in the corresponding period last year.

During October-December quarter, operating expenses increased by 23.19 per cent to Rs 1,173.69 crore from Rs 952.77 crore in year ago period.

Other Income grew by 0.40 per cent at Rs 19.84 crore versus (Dec'17 Rs 19.76 crore).

Operating Profit slipped by 7.94 per cent to Rs 176.97 crore as against Rs 192.24 crore in the year ago period, while Operating Profit Margin (OPM) contracted year-on-year to 21.93 per cent in December quarter.

Taxation decreased by 10.20 per cent at Rs 60.60 crore (Dec'17 Rs 67.48 crore).
