The company reported standalone net profit of Rs 522.69 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2018 as compared to Rs 470.79 crore in the same period last year, registering a year-on-year growth of 11.02 per cent.

Net revenue of the company rose substantially by 35.68 per cent at Rs 8,636.23 crore in January-March quarter of this fiscal as against Rs 6,365.05 crore in the corresponding period last year.

During January-March quarter, operating expenses increased by 35.93 per cent to Rs 7,814.16 crore from Rs 5,748.72 crore in year ago period.

Other Income dipped by 31.42 per cent at Rs 103.40 crore versus (Mar'17 Rs 150.77 crore).

Operating Profit surged by 33.38 per cent to Rs 822.07 crore as against Rs 616.33 crore in the year ago period, while Operating Profit Margin (OPM) contracted year-on-year to 1.65 per cent in March quarter.

Interest declined by 28.71 per cent y-o-y to Rs 33.45 crore, while Taxation increased by 81.42 per cent at Rs 268.08 crore (Mar'17 Rs 147.77 crore).
